Charlie grew up in Brighton, England and spent his youth playing for the Brighton and Hove Albion Academy.

He first moved to the US in 2013, where he started his coaching career working for a youth team at the Chicago Fire, before transferring to Michigan to begin coaching at Canton Soccer Club in 2016.

In Summer 2014, he played in the PDL in Florida for SWFL Adrenaline, before becoming a 2 year starter and captain at Concordia University, where he earned his degree in Marketing. 

Charlie currently holds his USSF C License, and is the current A

assistant coach with the University of Detroit Mercy.
